Artemis-the first scops owl with GPS transmiter
In early days of July DOPPS-BirdLife Slovenia started with the installation of GPS transmittors on Scops owls. The first was named Artemis. She nests in a nest-box on the West part of Goričko.
This informations about their foraging habitats will enable us to prepare more effective conservation measures in the future.
In next week 4 transmitters will be installed on four Scops owls.
